Happy May

Finally the weather seems to be breaking and warmer days seem to be on the horizon. Love the longer lite days. Here's what I have been up to in April. Got a new car and then I was up to scrapping photos from the past.

March Layouts

Spring is just around the corner and I can't wait. Loving the longer daylight since the time has changed and its just a matter of time until the days get warmer. Here is what I have been up to in March.

Almost Over

Wow the last day of February already. I always seem to be running two steps behind but I am determined to stop procrastinating.  I am making Procrastinate my word of the year. Here's some of my February Layouts. Going thru my old pics and scrapping Jenny. Boy is it so much easier with the digital age. Sure wish I had a digital camera then.

A Zillion Things

I feel like I have a zillion things on my plate right now. Since I started working I never feel like I get caught up and my poor house is always calling out...clean me...clean me...I have put that last on my list of things to do though.

Lots going on at Jessica Sprague. Her new class Digi: In Deeper started yesterday and like all her classes looks like it is packed with awesomeness. I am going to try not to fall to far behind.

iPhone 4 for Verizon Wireless is Thursday. This is my first launch since I started working there and it should prove to both be exciting and super busy.

So here is a little backlog of LO's that I have been putting off posting.  Enjoy

Ok so they have decided to reject my images right now. Will try later

A Little Behind

I'm always such a procrastinator.  Always two steps behind in what I want to do and I am so convinced its because I set out to do one thing and then am so easily distracted.  So with that being said here are a few layouts I recently did.

Christmas Tree 2010

Last year I caved in and bought a artificial tree. I hated doing it but it just got to be too much doing the whole real tree by myself. I like this tree a lot but I miss the smell of the real thing. Here is my LO of our 2010 tree. Enjoy

Christmas 2010 New Layouts

I'm usually not a holiday scrapper but with my new CT job I wanted to use some of the new papers and elements over at Jessica Sprague's.  Enjoy

New LO

This is an old layout I did about 10 years ago and converted into digi.  After Mom died we took Dad on a fishing trip for his birthday.  We had tons of fun and probably goofed off more than we fished.

My Dad

Anyone who knows my Dad can agree with me that he is some kind of special. He is 87 and just about anyone I know can imitate him but he is truly an original. As I sat with Dad one day has he was recovering from his hip surgery in a rehab I wrote a bit about him and also tried to pry any information I could about him growing up.  Enjoy the LO!!!

New Class

New class at Jessica Sprague.  Now we all know you can't go wrong with any of her classes and best of all this one is free.  It's called Inspiration Everywhere and all you have to do is click on the link and you can get all the info you need. Try it you'll like it.

Jenny's Woobie

I've been scouring thru all my old pics, boxes and boxes of them.  Boy do I wish there was digital when the kids where young.  It's amazing how far photography has come and how lucky people with small children are now.  Not only can you keep all these pics on your computer but the quality is outstanding. Anyway you work with what ya got right.  I did a layout about Jenny and her woobie.  That thing never left her side and when it did boy were we ever in trouble because she was miserable. How in the world can you suck your thumb without your woobie.  Ha Ha. Enjoy my walk down memory lane.

Fall

Fall...truly the most beautiful time of the year with all those awesome colors to look at but unfortunately it is just a prelude to probably the bleakest time of the year at least in this part of the country. Oh well I'm sure in some states you can have it all but not here.

So the job is going good...learning something new everyday, now the tricky part to keep it all in my head.
I'm sure not used to standing on my feet all those long hours. I don't know if I will ever get used to that.

So here is my latest LO showing some beautiful colors.

Looking back in time...

Just finished up a layout on my Mom's confirmation.  I feel so lucky to have these pics but I sure wish my Mom was around to tell me the stories behind them. So for now I'll just keep scrapping them so I can preserve some memories.  Check it out...

Almost Forgot...

Jessica is having another CT call starting today.  Here's the info...

Checking In...

Now that the weather will be getting a little cooler and I am adjusting to my work schedule I will hopefully be finding more time to create and post.  Juggling work and home leaves being creative last on my list these days.  I'll have to rethink my priority list.

So I got shirted at work.  Wow what a surprise the way they do it.  I was standing with my back to the store when I heard all this commotion.  Music blasting, someone on the microphone.  As I turn around all eyes are on me, customers and employees as they announce that I am receiving my shirts.  Talk about embarrassing.  I definitely needed a minute to compose myself after that.  Can't wait for the next employee to get their shirt so I can partake in the fun.

So here are my latest and greatest...

Enjoy

Winding down for a minute...

Its been so crazy that I have actually had this LO sitting on my desktop for two weeks so it will be nice to finally get it posted. Trying to juggle the working/playing thing now in my life.  I am sure that this will settle down a bit since this is a part time job but judging from the way the store looks when I surface my head from my training...omg this store is crazy busy. We shall see. So here is a LO I put together of my Daddy. Its kind of a combo of then and now and how life kind of slips out of our hands. So be good to each other cause you just might not get a second chance.  Enjoy and hopefully I will see you soon.

Here's a Peek

I talked about my recent moving experience in a prior post so here is a little sample of what was going on.  Trust me those smiles were not on their faces after about 8 hours of trying to fit all our stuff in the truck. Hope you enjoy.

It's been a long time...

Wow I just realized how long it's been since I posted anything on this blog. That's what moving does to you. July 14th I moved from Connecticut back to NJ. Until I got back here I didn't realize how unhappy I really was there. I feel like I got my life back again. Moving, of course was grueling. It's been such a hot summer and we got caught in the middle of it making the move that much worse. But like all things we persevered through and are now mostly settled in. Moving on (seems like the key word today) I applied for my dream job at Apple again about two weeks after I got here. Boy did I almost fall off my chair when I opened up my email the day after I applied. I started jumping up and down and then got nervous. My first interview was with two other people but our interviewer was quick to tell us that we did not have to try to outdo each other. Thank God. I got a call back the next day asking if I could come in the next day and meet with the Sr. Store manager. Of course I cancelled anything I had going on and went to meet her. After my meeting with her she asked if I would hang around and meet with the store leader. Needless to say I didn't have to give that a second thought. I got a call that night asking me to come in the next day and meet with the Regional Manager. Met with him and two other candidates. He was also quick to tell us this was not a competition. He also told us this would be our last interview and everything looks positive. I will keep you posted. So it has been a whirlwind for the past 3 weeks. Hopefully I will be getting back in Scrapping mode very soon. Talk to you soon...

The Latest

So I should be packing but instead I am just thinking about packing. Tell me one person who likes to move and I'll tell you they are a liar. Well it is a little exciting, new place, new digs but in this case I know the area so there will be no big adventures finding things and I can give the navigation system a rest.

Finally went to Abbott's Lobster in the Rough the other night. Soooooo many people rave about this place so decided to give it a try before leaving Connecticut. Just a tidbit here about Conn. My son just pointed out to me that I have been spelling it wrong for the last year. Oh well, its a good thing I'm leaving. So back to Abbott's. Its kind of a shacky looking place on the water and you stand in line to place your order. Need I say here that lobster is one of their specialties. Started with the clam chowder, excellent then moved on to shrimp in the raw, a hot lobster roll and corn on the cob. Absolutely yum. My son had an order of the mussels in garlic and wine and the mussels were huge and delicious. So do you think we liked the place?? A huge thumbs up. Not to mention that it was a gorgeous night, with a full moon that rose above the water and just shimmered. Perfect!! I decided to scrap the event and I hope the food looks as good as it was.
