So I guess I am not to good at blogging cause it sure has been a while. I've been busy trying to get this house in shape just in case I get a showing. Boy, its amazing all the little things and big things that you have to spruce up. Then once you start you just keep finding them and finding them. I've sure been filling up that garbage can every week. Sometimes it just seems endless. So, I decided to finally figure out this ebay thing. I have so much Stampin Up stuff that I never use or have never used. All this stuff I just had to have and now that I found digi I know I will never use it. So much easier to just sit in front of a computer and it doesn't take up all that space. It only took me all day to figure out how to sell things but I think I finally got it. Now to get some bids and pop it in the mail. In the past month between setting up this blog, joining Facebook, selling on ebay and working on the house I have been busy. Let's just hope I get something accomplished.

This pic signifies two things. First of all whatever happen to the Postal service promise to deliver the mail come snow, rain, sleet or whatever weather system. If my mailman can't drive up to my mailbox I don't get any mail. Would it be so hard to step out of his car for a minute. I just knew I should have given him a Xmas present but then again if there was snow at the mailbox he wouldn't have picked it up. So after not getting mail for 4 days I finally went and shoveled out. I had to wait for the weather to warm up a bit to soften the snow. I am going to be so sore. So that brings me to the For Sale sign. Isn't that a good enough reason for selling my house. At least one of the good reasons. No one else is around here to do it for me. I am definitely getting to old for all this work. My husband is still fighting me a bit because he loves this house but with working in Conneticut and living in a apartment where other people take care of everything for him where is he to shovel. It's nice to have a nice house when you aren't taking care of it. He has never been a handy person so it always fell on me so hopefully adios to all this soon. Hopefully the spring will bring the perfect buyer. All right enough venting for today. I've been proud of myself that I have been blogging fairly regularly. I just hope I can keep it up. Until next time....

No such luck...

I really thought we might make it thru the winter without a major snowstorm but I guess mother nature had another idea for us. It started snowing about 7 last night and continued into this morning. So what do you do when the weather is frightening, what else, you cook and you eat. I am not much of a cook but I did make some awesome sausage, peppers and onions yesterday and the best part is I made a slew of it so I have dinner for many nights. I have this awesome recipe for brownies that I got from my new cookbook, Baked. The authors opened up a bakery in Red Hook, Brooklyn and they have some really cool recipes like Root Bear Bundt Cake, Milk Chocolate Malt Ball Cake, Banana Expresso Chocolate Chip Muffins (made these, Yum) and of course that brownie recipe that also uses expresso. Super rich and I will wait for another day to make those since I bought this huge box of Peanut Butter Tastykakes, another Yum. Ok, so are you getting the drift here (appropriate word for today since there are drifts of snow everywhere) I have quite a sweet tooth and I do love to bake. The only problem with this is since I live in NJ, hubby in Conn. and my son in NY, I am the only one around to eat it. Not a good thing. So far though I have been doing good keeping all the weight off that I lost with Jenny Craig. I guess cause I run in spurts, eating and not eating. Ok enough rambling about food, I just made myself hungry and I am off to fill that need.

Where's the sun...

I can't believe they are predicting snow, sleet and rain for the next couple of days.  The winters never bothered me much before this year  but I am really craving some sun and warmth.  What do they say, that has you get older your blood thins out and you feel the cold more. Welllll, I guess I must be getting old.

Got some of my mojo going this week end and hit the computer for a little scrapping.  Feels good.  Been watching a lot of tutorials to learn new tricks.  It truly is amazing what Photoshop can do.  I know I will never learn everything it has to offer in this lifetime but I am trying.

Never say Never...

I know I never said I was going to have a blog but as we all know we should never say never.  Its always seems to come back and bite you.  So I originally started to create a blog in iWeb because I thought that it would be the easiest way but it did not offer me enough flexibility so here I am at blogger. So far so good even though I have been working on this for hours.  The thing that has be most stumped is adding this picture thing.  Can't seem to figure out how to get it to the place I want it.  I've been googling like crazy but can't seem to find the right answer.  So if anyone can shed some light on this for me it would be greatly appreciated.  In the meantime I added the pic first and then started my text above it.  There has to be an easier way.  Right.

So I am in the process of trying to simplify my life.  I am getting really tired and bored of rambling around in this big house in NJ while my husband works in Conn. so I have decided to sell everything, except the kids (that might come later) and move up to our apartment in Conn.  Managing all these households is getting to hard and costly and I just want to return to simple. You know what I mean.  So wish me luck and say a prayer that my house will sell quickly so I can move on.  I am one of these people that likes instant gratification once I make a decision so I get a little antsy.

So this is really where I would want to be and what I am working towards...
